Korean cuisine differs greatly from Chinese or Japanese. The base of the national cuisine is rice in various interpretations. Most Korean dishes are heavily spiced, especially with red pepper. One of the most popular dishes in South Korea is Samgyet'ang. It is a ginseng soup, usually eaten on a hot summer day. It is cooked of the chicken, ginseng, jujubes, sticky rice, and garlic. Rice is also the main ingredient of Pibimpap. Shinsollo is worth trying, because it is a delicious mixture of meat, fish, and vegetables. Among the national drinks of South Korea there are Yakju (liquor fermented from rice), Cass, Hite and OB (traditional Korean beer), Makgeolli and Donggongju (milky liquor).
